<\/a>JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to begin a median modification project at the intersection of Beach Boulevard (State Road 212) and Eunice Road on September 7.<\/p>\n

To reduce collisions and enhance safety at the intersection, FDOT will install a\u00a0raised directional concrete median at the intersection to prevent left turns and through traffic onto Beach Boulevard. To facilitate safe U-turns at the median opening east of Royal Palm Drive, the restricted median opening at Royal Palm Drive will be closed and the existing turn lane extended. The project also includes new road signs, traffic separators and road re-striping.<\/p>\n

Drivers should expect nighttime lane closures throughout the duration of the project. No closures will be scheduled during peak travel times or on holidays or special events.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
