JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/b>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0FDOT plans multiple overnight closures throughout the I-95\/I-295 North Interchange Operational Improvements project starting\u00a0<\/a>Tuesday, Jan. 2 through Thursday,\u00a0Jan. 4 while crews implement a detour for I-95 south to U.S. 17 traffic, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.<\/p>\n

FDOT advises drivers to be cautious approaching the interchange and be prepared for the new traffic pattern, which will implement a detour for I-95 south to U.S. 17. Once implemented, drivers will take I-295 westbound to Duval Road and take I-295 eastbound to the new collector distributer road to access U.S. 17. The detour is expected to be in place through Feb. 2023, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.<\/p>\n

I-95 southbound to close:<\/b><\/p>\n

I-95 southbound will close\u00a0<\/a>Tuesday, Jan. 2 and\u00a0 <\/a>Wednesday, Jan. 3\u00a0from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for overhead sign operations.\u00a0Drivers will detour to Airport Road to U.S. 17 and take I-295 westbound to reconnect with I-95 southbound.<\/p>\n

I-95 southbound exit to I-295 eastbound to close:<\/b><\/p>\n

The I-95 southbound exit to I-295 eastbound will close Thursday, Jan. 4 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. while crews perform pavement striping operations. Drivers will detour west on I-295 to Duval Road and take I-295 eastbound collector distributor to connect with\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 U.S 17.<\/p>\n

I-295 eastbound exit to U.S. 17 to close:<\/b><\/p>\n

The I-295 eastbound exit ramp will close Thursday, Jan. 4 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. while crews perform pavement striping operations. Drivers will detour to Pulaski Road and take I-295 westbound to connect with U.S. 17.<\/p>\n

U.S. 17 northbound to close:<\/b><\/p>\n

U.S. 17 northbound will close Thursday, Jan. 4 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. while crews perform pavement striping operations. Drivers will detour to Busch Drive to I-95 northbound and take Airport Road to reconnect with U.S. 17.<\/p>\n

U.S. 17 ramp to I-295 westbound to close:<\/b><\/p>\n

The U.S. 17 ramp to I-295 westbound will close Thursday, Jan. 4 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. while crews perform pavement striping operations. Drivers will detour to I-295 eastbound and take the Pulaski Road exit to connect with I-295 westbound.<\/p>\n

This work is part of a new phase of construction on the I-95\/I-295 North Interchange Operational Improvements project. The interchange upgrades are part of an important effort to promote economic growth and development in the region.<\/p>\n
