CLAY COUNTY, Fla.<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 As part of First Coast Expressway construction, nightly directional closures of U.S. 17 north of County Road 15A are scheduled Sunday, June 9 through Thursday, June 13, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting. One direction of the roadway will close each night at 10 p.m., reopening by 5 a.m. the following morning. Crews will begin overhead sign installation on southbound U.S. 17 and move to northbound U.S. 17 once the southbound work is completed.<\/p>\n

During the closures, motorists traveling on U.S. 17 will be detoured approximately three miles via Bayard Road and County Road 209 as shown in the map below.<\/p>\n
