During the closures, motorists will not be able to cross the St. Marys Bridge and will be detoured to I-95 to cross the river.<\/p>\n

The St. Marys Bridge was constructed in 1927 and is a movable swing bridge, where the center span twists to open for vessels. The bridge is completely manual and requires a crew to unlock the vessel, manually turn the bridge and relock the bridge when vessels request an opening.<\/p>\n
