<\/a>JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Jacksonville\u2019s Main Street Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic Saturday, Oct. 4 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for electrical repairs. Following the full detour, the northbound direction of the bridge will see intermittent closures until Monday, Oct. 6 as crews complete electrical work on the structure. The detour and subsequent directional lane closures are necessary as crews complete repairs to the electrical system caused by a vessel that struck the bridge on Aug. 19, 2025.<\/p>\n

All lanes on the bridge will be restored to full service by Monday, Oct. 6 at 6 a.m.<\/p>\n

A vessel struck Jacksonville\u2019s Main Street Bridge around 2:30 a.m. Aug. 19, 2025. FDOT crews responded immediately and conducted a thorough safety assessment of the structure before reopening the bridge to vehicular traffic around 6:45 a.m. Aug. 19.<\/p>\n
