ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – As part of resurfacing improvements on U.S. 1 from Moultrie Creek to north of State Road 207 in St. Augustine, overnight detours to remove three overhead sign truss structures on U.S. 1 will begin next week. Nightly detours will be in place from 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18 through Friday, Aug. 22
U.S. 1 South of State Road 312 Detour
Drivers traveling northbound on U.S. 1 will detour by turning left onto Southpark Boulevard, right onto Old Moultrie Road, right onto State Road 312, and left onto U.S. 1.
Southbound U.S. 1 traffic will detour by turning right onto State Road 312, left onto Old Moultrie Road, left onto Southpark Boulevard, and then right back onto U.S. 1.
U.S. 1 North of State Road 207 Detour
Drivers traveling north on U.S. 1 will turn left onto State Road 312, turn right onto State Road 207, and then turn left back onto U.S. 1.
Drivers traveling south on U.S. 1 will detour by turning right onto State Road 207, left onto State Road 312, and then right back onto U.S. 1.
Halifax Paving, Inc. was selected to complete this project, which consists of milling and resurfacing, drainage improvements, curb and gutter work, traffic signal installation, highway signing installation, sidewalk and bicycle path work, and other incidental construction.
