JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville’s Main Street Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic Saturday, Oct. 4 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for electrical repairs. Following the full detour, the northbound direction of the bridge will see intermittent closures until Monday, Oct. 6 as crews complete electrical work on the structure. The detour and subsequent directional lane closures are necessary as crews complete repairs to the electrical system caused by a vessel that struck the bridge on Aug. 19, 2025.
All lanes on the bridge will be restored to full service by Monday, Oct. 6 at 6 a.m.
