JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – As part of a project to replace the finger joints on the Buckman Bridge, a southbound single lane closure is planned Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
The inside lane of I-295 South over the Buckman Bridge will close from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes if possible and plan additional time for travel.
In addition to bridge finger joint replacements, the project includes partial coatings and structural steel work on the I-295 Buckman Bridge over the St. Johns River in Duval County.
