ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – As part of First Coast Expressway Shands Bridge construction, intermittent afternoon delays at the intersection of State Road 16 and State Road 13 are expected Monday, Sept. 14 through Friday, Sept. 18.
As large concrete bridge beams are delivered to the project site, crews will need to temporarily close the intersection to traffic to allow the delivery trucks to safely navigate the intersection. These brief delays are expected to occur daily between noon and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday next week. Drivers are encouraged to use an alternate route if possible and plan additional time to reach their destinations.
