CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – As part of First Coast Expressway construction, nightly directional closures of U.S. 17 north of County Road 15A are scheduled Sunday, June 9 through Thursday, June 13, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting. One direction of the roadway will close each night at 10 p.m., reopening by 5 a.m. the following morning. Crews will begin overhead sign installation on southbound U.S. 17 and move to northbound U.S. 17 once the southbound work is completed.
During the closures, motorists traveling on U.S. 17 will be detoured approximately three miles via Bayard Road and County Road 209 as shown in the map below.
