“I had a flat tire in an area that didn’t have enough room on the shoulder to safely change it myself. My insurance was telling me it would be a couple hours before they could get me help and I was getting scared that someone would hit me there. The Road Ranger showed up with his magic orange cones that made people move over and he got me safely back on the road. I am extremely grateful. ”

“Road Ranger, Truck 573 changed a blown out tire on our 5th wheel.”
“The Road Ranger was our hero on I 95 sometime before 7:00 am in the morning. We had a tire blow. We are AAA members, they gave us no immediate hope. We have State Farm Insurance, we called them – such a tedious process! And State Farm charged the credit card ahead of time for a tow (we cancelled). The Road Ranger bravely said “no problem, I do this all the time”. He changed the highway side tire in no time, directed us to an exit with tire places and we were on our way back to Virginia. He is a very nice guy and we can’t thank him or your service enough. And we are happy our insurance company sponsors this program.”
“Jump started my mustang ”
“Helped change our flat tire. ”
He parked his truck behind us and used his lights so we were safe, put out cones, and changed my tire.”
“Road Ranger helped me change a flat tire.”
“A piece of metal was thrown out of a lawn mower and hit the side of my truck and took out the passenger front side tire. There wasn’t much space for me to pull over, since it was the passenger side and needed to be on solid ground. It was difficult just getting out of my truck, no one would move over and I felt very unsafe. The Road Ranger on Route #11, was a life saver. Seriously! He put up cones and a sign. He was a huge help in changing my tire and getting the spare tire on. He put the tire on while I tied what was left of the damaged tire into the back of my truck. I definitely owe a huge THANK YOU to him for being there to help me. My wife said he answered her prayers! Thank you to all the Road Rangers out there giving aid to us drivers. We definitely appreciate them being out there to help all in need. Best regard, Bill”
“This morning had a flat tire on the way to the dentist. A GOOD Samaritan Road Ranger in Jacksonville stopped to help me. I’m 68 years old. Don’t know how to change a tireon my Chevy Suburban. The Road Ranger had my spare tire on in 25 minutes. A major inconvenience turned out to be not so bad. THANK YOU ROAD RANGER, STATE FARM, and FDOT !”
“He inflated and installed a spare tire for us after we blew a tire.”
“Helped me with gas and a jump start, i didn’t even call FP i called my auto for a tow service and it was supposed to take 1 hr and 30 mins to get helped. FP came up and saw me so i was only out here for 30 minutes on the highway. I’m absolutely very thankful that it’s free of service and you get the help you want because i sure did not want to get towed so thank you florida patrol for the help!!”
“He changed a flat tire I had on I-10 between Tallahassee and Jacksonville”
“We were traveling in a motor home pulling a cargo trailer and a tire blew on our cargo trailer. We were driving on the interstate so had to pull off to the side of the road. The Road Ranger was going southbound and turned around when he saw us pulled over. He pulled off behind us and out his lights on to help with visibility. He also provided air so we could air up the tandem tire. ”
“I had a flat tire on the side of the highway. I had my baby in the back seat and I was very nervous. The Road Ranger came out promptly! He was polite, efficient, and even made sure I got back into the highway safely. ”
“I had a flat on a trailer on I-75. I was on the shoulder and due to proximity of guardrail not the best location to change a tire. Morning heavy traffic. While changing the tire my bottle jack failed. Helpless and wondering next plan, a FDOT patrol pulled up behind me. The Driver positioned cones and loaned me a jack to finish the tire change. It was a difficult situation and I had been driving all night, was severely fatigued. I was only 2 miles from my exit. I got home 30 minutes later.”
“Change flat tire with very tight wheel lugs.”
“On Monday, October 18, we were heading north on I-75, right between Ocala and Gainesville. Suddenly the car started to heat up and we pulled over. A few minutes later, Road Ranger from Truck 573 assisted us by adding water to the car and telling us that it appeared that the Water Pump had broken. We called AAA and when we told him that they were on their way, Bill from Tuck 573 left to help others. Triple AAA had the car towed to the Chevy Dealer in Gainesville which installed a new Water Pump. The Road Ranger was very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. We commend him for his dedication. ”
“Plastic underside of car and driver wheel well was ripped off from unknown source, dragging under the car and leaving a hole in the front of car where the fog light cover was and the computer had been attached to the back of it. Road Ranger was quick to spot that this was the computer hanging down, as my husband was considering removing it, and went to work securing it off the ground and out of the way and removed the still attached plastic. He was heaven sent and extremely efficient.”
“The Road Ranger helped to jump off my sons friend truck that had left them the night before. When I called dispatcher said there was no one in our area and it would be up to 45 mins to1 hour.
From the tone we called around 3 mins he pulled up amd was very good to my kids and put
them on the way home. ”

“He set up warning cones and was so polite and helpful. I truly appreciated his assistance. I had a flat tire on the interstate and within 15 minutes, the Road Ranger responded and went above and beyond the basic service with his caring attitude and it made me feel a lot better about the whole event. A flat tire doesn’t sound like a big deal unless you are unable to changa a tire yourself and are traveling alone just after dark. Then it FELT like a very big deal. This is an absolutely wonderful service. Thank you so much.”
“After running out of gas and contacting the FDOT Road Ranger Service Patrol, he arrived after only a 30 minute wait and was extremely professional and friendly, and had us back on the road within 10 minutes. What a great service and the Road Ranger was exceptional!!!”
“The Road Ranger was very helpful and knowledgeable so after he helped me with my busted tire, he told me my next steps and filled them with air.”

“I ran over a trailer hitch that was on I295 at the JTB intersection. My front drivers tire blew. I was in the inside lane and just barely made it on to the Inside shoulder. I called 911 who called the State Troopers and gave them my phone number. The State Trooper called me right back and said a Road Ranger would be on it’s way to help me change my tire. When the Ranger arrived I was surprised to see a young lady. She was so very pleasant and super helpful. I was not at all prepared to change my tire and she took care of everything for me. She got my spare off my car, changed it and filled up the spare with air. I just want to thank you and please keep up the good work. ”
“my car was over heated and he helped refill my coolent! ”
“Road Ranger truck #571. Came to help us on I 75 within 30mins to change the tire. Very professional, curtious and gave us directions where to get the new tire.”
“The Road Ranger helped my wife and I on I75 about 20 miles north of Ocala on Tuesday, November 30 about 3:30pm. He was very helpful and changed our flat tire for the donut spare. We have an Audi and it was the first time he had changed an Audi tire and it took him a few minutes to figure out what was needed but then he took care of it. He was friendly and helpful. It was a great relief to see him stop to help.”
“I was driving a friend’s car and didn’t realize the gas gauge was fault and ran out of gas. The Road Ranger came along and helped me get on my way. I want to mention that a county sheriff deputy stopped first and told me there was NOTHING he could do and I needed to call AAA. NOT NICE!! I wish he had told me about Road Rangers What a blessing he was and thank goodness he found me. THANKS!!! (I asked him if I could tip him. He jokingly replied, “Let me give you a tip, don’t trust your friend’s gas gauge.” :)”
“He protected the scene with cones and filled my gas tank with fuel to get me to the next exit for more gas . He was kind polite and I appreciate this service so much ”

“Two Road Rangers assisted my wife and I by changing our RV tire after a blow out. “Yesterday, while on a family trip, I had a problem with the bottom of my car. I am a foreign student who just came to the United States, so I didn’t know how to deal with such a trouble. Fearful at the roar of scraping parts, I stopped the car on the shoulder and didn’t know what to do. Then I saw a Road Ranger car parked behind me. The ranger took a look at the car and repaired the underplate of the car. To my family, he was like Superman. He was really kind and skillful. I’m very appreciate to him and FDOT.”
“Had a blowout on a trailer . Just started getting out jack and tools . Fdot road ranger pulled up , then another ranger pulled up . Greatly appreciate the help from from them both . Stayed with me until job was done . Thanks for the floor jack and hammers . Huge service to the public travelling on Florida’s highways .”

“It was the Sunday after Thanksgiving and we were driving home from Georgia when a motorist alerted us that one of the tires on our Fifth Wheel RV had blown. We were unable to obtain any assistance from the roadside assistance program we pay for then the Road Ranger walked up and offered to help. He was able to talk us through how to do what we needed to do for him to be able to change our tire and even put air in our spare. He was extremely professional, helpful and calming. My husband is disabled, so it was myself and our 16 year old daughter trying to figure things out. He told us exactly what he could and could not do, but he made sure we were able to do the parts that he couldn’t and we were safely back on the road. Who know how long we would have sat on the side of the road if he didn’t stop and ask us if we needed help. We are extremely thankful for his kindness, knowledge and desire to help. Thank you! ”
“On 12/10/21 during the early evening (mosquitoes) hours we had a blow out on I 75 on our friends crappy trailer were towing.. The dry rotted tire had exploded and wrapped itself around the springs and axel. It looked pretty snug there. The Road Ranger came along with his array of tools and we were able to release its hold. He also had air pressure tank because, of course, the spare was flat. With his help (and directions) we were able to get back on the road, get to the next good exit, get to a hotel and find a bar! Thank you Road Ranger for the happy ending! ”
“This Road Ranger is awesome… My truck and trailer had power connection malfunction… He not only directed the traffic but also helped me to fix my wire connections. Brought his own tools to help. He was friendly and helpful. Thank you.”

“He change a left front tire for me the man was really really good and I appreciate him being there I never had help before from a Road Ranger. I really hope the people appreciate people like this”
“We had been on the road for over 3.5 hours already and our insurance company had not had any response from any tow truck or mechanic to change and evaluate the flat tire. We were looking at another 2 hours of waiting according to our Insurance company. I called the police in GA (we were on the FL side of the border). They referred us to FL police and then the proper authorities to handle our call. Within 10 minutes a truck pulls up to help us and the Road Ranger introduced himself. My husband helped empty the car to get the tire while the Road Ranger set up the space with cones, etc. He was very personable and explained who he was and the service he could provide. He was quick and helpful and assured us we were good to go but get the regular tire looked at the next day. He helped load the damaged tire into our car and bid us goodbye. My husband offered him $50 for helping us on New Years Day but he graciously refused. This was a wonder experience and we are keeping the brochure he gave us in our glove box in case there is a problem in the future as we are moving to Florida.
Thank you for providing this service!!! Joan Brooks ”
“Had a pretty bad blowout that was thankfully able to be replaced, only thing stopping the process was lack of proper equipment. Called for a road ranger who showed up within good time! He was professional & efficient, helping us get back on the road safely.. thank you so much!”

“This Road Ranger quite possibly saved my life. Stopped at a rest stop to nap during a late night drive from Atlanta to Miami (visiting Mom for the holidays). Woke up to a dead battery at 1am. Nobody at the stop, found a security guard that couldn’t help with a jump but he offered me the road rangers number. My insurance covers roadside assistance, called them first. They sent me Meth-head Mike, the guy couldn’t find the rest stop. Pretty sure it’s the only one between 75 and Jax headed eastbound. Anyway that wasted 2 hours. New car (hybrid), so pop the hood and there’s no battery. Ok no prob, search the web for make, model and location of battery. Phone battery dies. Car is dead so can’t charge it. Weather turns and it starts to pour on me. This weather system is the tail end of a coldsnap so temp is in the 40’s so now i’m wet and cold. Able to find a wall plug at the rest stop and begin phone charging, fire off a call to Road Rangers, still hoping roadside assistance will show and save the day. Almost zero bars (no service) on the phone and all the hybrid tutorials are videos, so that’s not going to load easy. It’s holiday so the car is packed with stuff and I begin to unload .. again in the rain.. in 40deg weather. Oh … also the hatchback won’t open because there’s no key entry for it .. all controlled by a keyfob and again the battery is dead. So to open the hatchback you must crawl into the back from the front seat and find some super secret latch and disengage with a screwdriver. Guess who doesn’t have a screwdriver? It’s dark, i’m soaked, it’s really getting cold and i’m using a folding knife for a job where you shouldn’t be using a folding knife. The back of the car lights up … It’s the Road Ranger in his HERO truck … with jumper cables a screwdriver and a smile. Battery is so dead it takes 20 min to fire up. I offer him my last $20 cause he possibly saved me from pneumonia, he declines. I just want to hug him. He of course doesn’t want that. 5 hrs after my car fails to start i’m back on the road. He is a national treasure. A humble guy just doing his job. Please, if you’re know him well enough to hug him, give him a good one for me. Sean McIntyre”
“He helped us change the left front tire on our Ram 350 diesel which was pulling our 35 ft horse trailer at night in the rain”
“Road Ranger was amazing and patient as we ran out of fuel on our diesel truck. We knew we would need to remove air out of the lines but didn’t know how. We had to youtube videos and look up how. He provided us a Cresent wrench as ours was too big to fit. We are so happy he was there so promptly and was so patient as we begrudgingly worked toward getting the truck to start. Please tell him thanks again from us!!! ”
“Had a blowout on the left rear tire trying to return to Lenoir City, Tn. Road Ranger – showed up 20mins. after the tire blew. What a pleasant surprise he was. Not only did he replace the blown tire with our spare, but also, followed us to the Gainsville exit to ensure we arrived safely to the Firestone tire center. ( The spare was very questionable .)”
“Road Ranger replaced a blown tire for me. I ran over a large steel item on I-75 South. He arrived shortly after the patrol officer called it in. Very polite person. He set out his safety cones and got right to work. Did not take him long to make the change. I was impressed with him and FDOT. I did not know this service existed Thank you for making my day a little brighter ”
“Saw us on the side of the road with a blowout and stopped to help.”
A Road Ranger stopped and changed my flat tire. I would normally change my own tire but a little too dangerous on the shoulder of 95 South. She was polite, friendly, and just wonderful! I wanted to give her $10 but she did not accept. I was waiting 2 hours for my own Geico road service when she happened along. Can’t say enough good things about this Road Ranger!
I had run out of gas in the dark on I-75! The Road Ranger was awesome! He put cones around my car and gas in my car so I could get back on the road safely.
The Road Ranger was amazing. He was there to help within minutes of our tire blowing. He made the area safe placing cones. Then he proceeded to help my husband get the dummy tire from underneath the van added air to it and changed our tire out. This happened in a matter of 30 min, and we were back on the rd. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I lost total air on a rear passenger tire (about 8 nails were found on the tire.) A Road Ranger responded to my location (while I was waiting for a road assistance tow truck that was 90 minutes away.) The Road Ranger was courteous and friendly. He explained the Road Ranger Program and assisted me with getting back on the road. He refused to take a gratuity. I just wanted to say thank you and express my gratitude. Can you please pass on my thanks to him?

The Road Ranger saw me pulled over with a flat/burst tire and he stopped to ask me how I was getting it fixed and if there was anything he could do to help regarding tire stations, insurance towing, nearby exits, etc. He was very kind and helpful and even stopped by a second time. I was nervous about being alone on the side of the road but after he stopped by, I felt much better and much safer.

We had a wheel fall off on the Danes port bridge. There is no break down lane to pull over to. So, we were sitting in the traffic lane unable to move. The. Road Ranger Patrol pulled in behind us and steered traffic around us. He called for a safe harbor tow. He was very nice, reassuring. He made us feel safe and that help was on the way. Thank you so much for this service. Without them who knows how that situation would have turned out.
A Road Ranger showed up within 20 minutes of my call. Assessed the situation and seen that I had a good spare for my boat trailer tire that blew on the interstate and said this won’t take too long. He set up a safety perimeter with cones for our safety and got to work. He had us back on the road within another 20 minutes and wished us better luck with our fishing trip. Thank you for helping us for my son in laws first fishing trip.
A Road Ranger arrived within 3 minutes of the blowout on our trailer. We didn’t even call, and he was there. I had a jack and impact so changing the tire wasn’t a problem, but I feel extremely anxious of the side of the road. He set up cones and a protective barrier. He was professional and efficient and helped thread on some lugs that were too hot for me to grab. I appreciate his services very much. Highly recommend 10/10
After pulling over to the side of the freeway from a blown-out tire, a Road Ranger came over to help me. I pulled over to a safe place but was on a grassy wet slope which made it a little more challenging to change the tire. He was safe, professional, courteous, and really came at the right time to such an unexpected time. He quickly changed my tire and got be back on the road safely. Thank you, road rangers, for all you do!
On June 18th I was driving to Tallahassee on I-10 and got a flat tire. I contacted my insurance co, road assistance with no results. My cousin who I was on my way to see called the FDOT Road Rangers. Within a short while a Road Ranger showed up. He was kind, respectful and very safety minded. He changed my tire and told me how to drive on the spare safely. It was a very good experience and I want to let this Dept. know that I am very appreciative, you rendered great service and have good Road Rangers.

The Road Ranger was so great, purely professional and saved the day, as I ran out of gas when my truck told me I had enough to get where I was going. He was very nice and responded quickly which helped me catch my meeting in Walton County FL, on time. I have seen and appreciated this service always – never thinking I would have a need myself – but when I did, I was fortunate enough to get him to help me. Keep up the good work and please be safe.
The Road Ranger parked his truck behind us and used his lights, so we were safe, put out cones, and changed my tire.
This morning had a flat tire on the way to the dentist. A GOOD Samaritan, a Road Ranger, in Jacksonville stopped to help me. I’m 68 years old. Don’t know how to change a tire on my Chevy Suburban.
