JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Drivers on the I-295 West Beltway over the Buckman Bridge will see multi-lane closures and slowdowns this week as crews install overhead signage. These operations are only permitted during overnight hours and are not expected to impact peak travel periods. Variable message boards will be used to alert traffic of the following operations.
Wednesday, May 25, 2022
- I-295 Northbound will have nighttime lane closures from I-95 to Old St. Augustine Rd. from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am. Double lane closures will be allowed from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am to perform overhead truss installation.
- Intended Installation –
- From 9:00PM to 5:00AM the I-295 Northbound Express Lanes will be closed
- From 9:00PM to 5:00AM- Northbound Outside Double Lane Closure and two (2) auxiliary ramp lanes closed (4 lanes total)
- Pacing Operations Restricted between 11:30PM and 5:00AM

- I-295 Northbound (Buckman Bridge) will have nighttime lane closures from SR-13 (San Jose Blvd.) to US-17 (Park St.) from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am. Double lane closures will be allowed from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am to perform overhead truss installation.
- Intended Installation – Northbound ATM Structures
- Inside NB Double Lane Closure on the Bridge
- From 9:00PM to 5:00AM the I-295 Northbound Express Lanes will be closed according to the attached closure plan
- Pacing Operations Restricted between 11:30PM and 5:00AM
- Intended Installation – Northbound ATM Structures
