JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – As part of a project to replace the finger joints on the Buckman Bridge, directional double lane closures and ramp closures are planned Friday, June 13 through Monday, June 16, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
Two lanes of I-295 South over the Buckman Bridge, as well as the ramp from northbound U.S. 17 to I-295 South, will close at 10 p.m. Friday and reopen by 4 a.m. Monday. During the closures, drivers on U.S. 17 North wishing to access I-295 South will take the ramp to I-295 North and exit at Blanding Boulevard to access I-295 South. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes if possible and plan additional time for travel.
