ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Weekday detours are scheduled to occur at the intersection of State Road 5A (King Street) and State Road A1A (Avenida Menendez) in downtown St. Augustine to safely complete work on a drainage improvement project. The detour is scheduled to begin Sunday night, Jan. 28 at 10 p.m. and re-open by Friday morning, Feb. 2 at 6:30 a.m.
During the closures, drivers on State Road A1A south can still access the Bridge of Lions. Drivers who wish to continue south will detour onto Cathedral Place, Cordova Street and south on Granada Street. Drivers on State Road A1A north will detour to Cordova Street north and follow posted detour signs to access the Bridge of Lions.
