ORANGE PARK, Fla. – A project to redesign the intersection of Blanding Boulevard (State Road 21) and Wells Road begins Monday, Aug. 4.
The project includes milling and resurfacing, base work, shoulder treatment, drainage improvements, curb and gutters, traffic signals, lighting, highway signing, bridges, sidewalks/bicycle path and other incidental construction.
Traffic will be maintained in accordance with FDOT design standards throughout the duration of the project. No single lane closures on Blanding Boulevard and Wells Road will be allowed from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. No double lane closures on Blanding Boulevard and Wells Road will be allowed from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. The project is estimated for completion in fall 2026, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
