ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – As part of ongoing efforts of The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to improve safety on State Road A1A, a new “no pass” zone of State Road A1A southbound in South Ponte Vedra Beach has been designated. New striping is scheduled to be installed on State Road A1A southbound between the Guana Tolomato Matanzas South Beach Access and Yellow Bill Lane during the week of Jan. 13, 2025, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting. This safety-priority project is in direct alignment with The Florida Department of Transportation’s Target Zero statewide safety initiative to bring the number of fatalities and serious injuries on Florida roadways down to zero.
