DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. – As part of the Edgewood Avenue (State Road 111) resurfacing project from Old Kings Road to Beaver Street, an extended detour of West 5th Street just west of Edgewood Avenue is necessary for demolition and resurfacing work to be completed safely. A small block of West 5th Street will close on Sunday, January 12 at 8 p.m. for approximately two months, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
During the closure, drivers on West 5th Street (Norman E Thagard Boulevard) will be detoured to Edgewood Avenue to West 12th Street to use Lewis Industrial Boulevard to access West 5th Street.
