JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – FDOT will have multiple overnight closures and detours throughout the I-95/I-295 North Interchange Operational Improvements project beginning Sunday, April 28 for roadway and bridge construction operations, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting. Please note that times may be adjusted to avoid conflicting detour traffic along the routes.
Closures scheduled Sunday, April 28 through Thursday, May 2 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:
- U.S. 17 closed: Northbound drivers will detour to Busch Drive to I-95 North and take Airport Road to reconnect with U.S. 17. Southbound drivers will detour to Airport Road to I-95 South and take Busch Drive to reconnect with U.S. 17.
- I-295 West exit to I-95 North closed: Drivers will detour to U.S. 17 and take Airport Road to connect with I-95 North.
- I-295 East exit to I-95 North closed: Drivers will detour to U.S. 17 and take Airport Road to connect with I-95 North.
Closure scheduled Sunday, April 28 and Monday, April 29 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:
- I-95 North exit to Airport Road closed: Drivers will detour to I-295 East and take U.S. 17 to connect with Airport Road.
Closure scheduled Monday, April 29 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:
- I-295 East closed: Drivers will detour to U.S. 17 to New Berlin Road and take Pulaski Road to reconnect with I-295 East.
This work is part of a new phase of construction on the I-95/I-295 North Interchange Operational Improvements project. The interchange upgrades are part of an important effort to promote economic growth and development in the region.
