JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – As part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) improvements project on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway (State Road 115) from Boulevard Street to Beach Boulevard, overnight detours are scheduled Monday, April 29 through Thursday, May 2 for installation of CCTV poles.
MLK Parkway Northbound On-Ramp from University Boulevard Detour
The Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway on-ramp from University Boulevard will close nightly starting Monday, April 29 through Thursday, May 2 between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning.
As a detour, drivers will continue north on University Boulevard and turn left onto the westbound MLK Parkway on-ramp.
Eastbound Beach Boulevard at East Road Detour
Eastbound lanes of Beach Boulevard will close nightly starting Monday, April 29 through Thursday, May 2 between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning.
As a detour, drivers will take Beach Boulevard eastbound, exit to East Road, turn left onto Parental Home Road and turn right onto Beach Boulevard.
State Road 228 Southbound, Heart Bridge Expressway Detour
Eastbound lanes of State Road 228 (Hart Expressway) at the State Road 228 (Emerson Street) interchange will be closed Monday, April 29 and Tuesday, April 30 between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning.
As a detour, drivers will head south on the Hart Expressway to the Emerson Street exit, and then head eastbound to the Beach Boulevard exit, turn left onto University Boulevard, then turn right onto Lottie Street, and make a left onto State Road 228 southbound to the State Road 90 East on-ramp.
