JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – FDOT is implementing a traffic shift on lanes of I-295 eastbound before the I-95 interchange as part of the new phase of construction activities on the I-95/I-295 North Interchange Operational Improvements Project.
As shown on the map, drivers on I-295 eastbound attempting to merge onto I-95 northbound will shift into the left lane to access I-95 northbound at the original location.
Drivers attempting to merge onto I-95 southbound will stay right to continue east to the I-95 interchange.
This shift is one of several scheduled over the next few months as FDOT transitions into a new phase of construction on the critical interchange updates. The interchange upgrades are part of an important effort to promote economic growth and development in the region.
