JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Emerson Street will close in the immediate area of the railroad crossing located near Philips Highway (U.S. 1) as part of a project to replace the crossing surface. The closure is expected to begin Sunday, May 7 at midnight and remain in place until 6 p.m. Saturday, May 13, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting. Detours are as follows:
Emerson Street east of the crossing: Traffic will travel south on Philips Highway, right on University Boulevard, right on San Jose Boulevard and proceed to Emerson Street.
Emerson Street west of the crossing: Traffic will travel south on Hendricks Avenue, left on University Boulevard, left on Philips Highway and proceed to Emerson Street.
