JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – As part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s I-295 at Normandy Boulevard Operational Improvements and the I-295 from Morse Avenue to U.S. 90 Resurfacing projects, nightly lane and intermittent ramp closures are scheduled Sunday, Feb. 18 through Thursday, Feb. 22 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting. On Sunday, Feb. 18, traffic from northbound I-295 to Normandy Boulevard will be detoured from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. to allow for ramp construction activities, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
The following roads will be impacted by the lane and ramp closures:
Northbound I-295 to Normandy Boulevard Detour – Northbound I-295 to Normandy Boulevard traffic will continue north, exit onto eastbound I-10, exit onto southbound Lane Avenue and proceed to Normandy Boulevard.
Southbound I-295 from Morse Avenue to U.S. 90 – Multiple lanes may be closed along with intermittent ramp closures northbound for milling and resurfacing. Detours will be in place during the ramp closures.

The projects include ramp widening and operational improvements at the I-295/Normandy Boulevard interchange and resurfacing of I-295 from Morse Avenue to Beaver Street. The speed limit has been reduced to 55 mph in the construction zone throughout the duration of the project.
