First let me say that I am a Florida State Trooper. On May 10 at 5:44PM, I was working on a crash on State Road 93 (Interstate 75) Northbound at the 374-mile marker Micanopy. It was during a heavy rainstorm. A vehicle traveling north hydroplaned and collided into the center median guardrail coming to rest disabled in the left travel lane. I arrived on scene and placed my patrol car blocking the left lane to protect that vehicle. Shortly after I arrived your road ranger tow truck FL tag BJ40AX arrived driven by Ranger Adrian Johnson. Ranger Johnson placed his vehicle behind my patrol car, activated all emergency lights and sign board. He placed numerous tall orange safety cones highlighting the travel lane closer. He exited his vehicle and stood next to my patrol car in the rain. A vehicle traveling north failed to move over and collided into the rear of your tow truck. If your truck was not there, the vehicle would have collided into my patrol car that I was in at the time of the crash. Your program keep me safe and your policy of having your driver outside of the truck keep him safe. I just wanted to thank you.
Sincerely,
Senior Trooper Rick Brown
“I had a flat tire in an area that didn’t have enough room on the shoulder to safely change it myself. My insurance was telling me it would be a couple hours before they could get me help and I was getting scared that someone would hit me there. The Road Ranger showed up with his magic orange cones that made people move over and he got me safely back on the road. I am extremely grateful. ”
“The Road Ranger provided great service. My car broke down yesterday and my emergency flashers drained the battery. He comes off the area for safety and then jumped the battery for us. He also made sure we were good and didn’t need anything else. ”
